I Paid 29.99 for it on 7/17/10July 28, 2010 Michael It's a well made, good looking and durable case. It's a protective zippered sleeve made to protect the Kindle when not in use. It's not a book cover.
I'm a contractor and bought the Kindle and cover to store and transport blueprints in PDF format so I don't have to carry large rolls of paper prints. The neoprene cover does an excellent job protecting my Kindle while driving in my truck and on jobsites.
It was only 29.99 when I bought my Kindle 2 weeks ago. I'd propably still pay the new more expensive price because it does do what I need it to do. However I think the new price is excessive for what it is.
Best Kindle Case I've SeenJuly 22, 2010 Annie K(USA) I bought this case when I first got my Kindle - maybe a year back and I love it. I still carry my Kindle with me every day and the case perfect. It protects the Kindle well and has allowed it to survive a coup;e falls without incident. It has got me through the rain and cold and kept my Kindle protected. The only improvement would be a handle as sometimes I am carrying other stuff and it would be handy.

I bought this last year after I purchased my 2nd gen Kindle. I had looked at all the different holders for my kindle, but this one caught my attention. I absolutely love it!!! It protects my kindle completely. I am always carrying my kindle in it and it goes just about everywhere I go. I can have it in the cover and stick the whole thing in either my purse or computer bag and the cover protects the kindle from scratches. I also take my kindle out and use the cover to set my kindle on when reading on a flat surface like a table or desk, this way the back of the kindle is not scratched either. If you are looking for a kindle holder that can carry the charger as well, then this is not for you.
