1 out of 5 stars Cheesy Publisher's Trick   October 9, 2009

What a cheesy trick! I pre-ordered the book because I thought it was the next in the series...not a re-publication of short stories I have already read. What a waste of money.

2 out of 5 stars Why Charlaine? Why?   October 9, 2009

I really was expecting a followup to book 9. I wish Charlaine Harriswish hadn't made this book #10. This is just missing stories or maybe editor rejected chapters from previous Sookie Stackhouse books. Man! I read this book in four hours. Don't look to clutch your fingers at every page. The stories are pretty light. I guess Charlaine Harris needed a go between book to make her publisher happy. Unfortunately, she wasn't thinking about her fans.

I am a huge Sookie fan and could not wait for another new book. This book arrived on Thursday at 4pm. I was finished with it before the end of the night. I am not a fan of the "short" stories. I would have loved to get into Sookie's life for some real adventure. These stories were not what I was looking for.

3 out of 5 stars Disappointing   October 9, 2009

I was looking forward to this book after the letdown from Dead and Gone (The writing was certainly better in these earlier stories). Admittedly, I should have read the book description but this is a reprint of her earlier short stories. After going through the trouble of purchasing these short stories in anthologies in the past, this was a waste of money. I will read the description of the next book before purchase but to list this as Book 10 is a little misleading. Ah well.
