3 out of 5 stars Disappointing   October 9, 2009

I was looking forward to this book after the letdown from Dead and Gone (The writing was certainly better in these earlier stories). Admittedly, I should have read the book description but this is a reprint of her earlier short stories. After going through the trouble of purchasing these short stories in anthologies in the past, this was a waste of money. I will read the description of the next book before purchase but to list this as Book 10 is a little misleading. Ah well.

3 out of 5 stars Sookie comes back too briefly   October 9, 2009

I enjoyed once again getting involved in Sookie's life but was disappointed by the short story aspect. I wanted more. It was very short and a quick couple of hours read. I hope there will be more to read about Sookie's exciting life.

3 out of 5 stars A little disappointed   October 9, 2009

I have read all of the other novels in the Stackhouse series so I waited anxiously for this book to come out. I knew it would be short stories about Sookie, and was looking forward to reading about more of her life. However, I was a little disappointed with the short stories. Although I like to see Sookie outside of her normal drama filled life, I still expected more. I also would have read more about her and the people/vamps that I have come to know in the other novels. These stories are mostly dealing with characters that aren't really interesting. In short I just expected more. But I still read it, and if she puts out another Stackhouse book I'll read that one too.

I was so excited to get "Book 10" in the Sookie Stackhouse series. I feel totally ripped off by Amazon.
