WOW!!!! July 12, 2010 Judy Mansfield (Kitchener, Ontario Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I always thought Lisa Gardner wrote those silly "thrillers" where the cop and the victim always start out hating each other, then fall in "lust" while they are solving the crime so I have always avoided her books. But they were having a sale at the book store and the description intrigued me so I thought what the heck...not much money lost if it turns out to be a book written for a juvenile. Boy was I STUNNED to find myself reading such a complex, superbly written story where I cared so much for all the characters and where I couldn't figure out what was going to happen at all! I was NOT BORED from the first page to the last page and I cannot believe anyone would think this book was boring. I will now have to check out this authors other books but I can't imagine any one of them being as good as this one was!
HIGHLY recommend this book if you are a Harlen Coben, Lindsay Barkley or any other one of those harder hitting, edgier authors!
The Neighbor July 7, 2010 S. Daffron (Chattanooga, Tn USA) I am a huge fan of Lisa Gardner and have read all of her books. This is one of those books you simply can't put down. It kept me guessing until the very end. It doesn't get any better than this.
Couldn't stop reading! July 6, 2010 angelsnax Another phenomenal book by Lisa Gardner. As with all her books, couldn't wait to read the entire book. I hope that one day I'll be able to watch one of her books evolve into a movie. Her books are the only ones I take time to read. Better than anything on T.V.
Should pay me to Read this book July 2, 2010 Robert F. (Sacramento, CA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book was so boring, that I gave up on it after reading some of the negative reviews. Yes, I would like to know the ending, but not at the expense of spending a few more hours of torture reading. I can't believe readers that gave it 4 or 5 stars...must not read too many thrillers.
Lisa Gardner Rules June 22, 2010 Janice T. Uttley (Charlotte, NC, USA) I just discovered Lisa Gardner. Her suspense in "The Neighbor" is very compelling, and has a very real feeling to it. The woman can write!
