The materials look and feel just fine and I think will wear well. The ability to fold the front cover all the way around makes it very easy to use when lieing in bed at night. All in all, a great product.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of goods being sold by Amazon.
I have already returned my Amazon Kindle DX Leather Cover once because it was damaged.
The new cover that I have received is also damaged please see attached photo, the leather appears to have a water mark on it that does not clean off.
The previous cover was warped which leads me to believe that the covers being sold have been water damaged at some stage.
I am not prepared to go through the hassle of returning the cover again.
You also have not refunded the full postage as promised.
I paid R85.20 for the cheapest postage and was reimbursed for R55.28???!!!
I would like a full refund or compensation for the product as it is unacceptable to have damaged goods sent when I am paying full price for new goods.

The cover is attractive and seems durable.
BUT, avoid it. In less than three weeks it created a hairline crack in the Kindle's case. Amazon was great about providing a new Kindle and giving me credit for the cover. I should have searched the web for a quick review of the cover, because I am not alone in having this problem.
If you do have the Kindle and the Amazon cover, be sure to never open up the cover on the rear side of the Kindle.

I am a very happy kindle DX owner and have had the official DX leather cover for about 7 months now. Beware this cover; it *almost* cracked my screen a couple of days ago, it did chip (top left corner, in one of the little bolt holes where it hooks to this cover) my DX for which it earned my wrath and a speedy one way trip to the garbage can. I hardly post reviews but with this case I felt the urge to warn my fellow Kindle owners. Sooner or later this case will damage your Kindle, so do yourself a favor and buy a different one.

I really liked this cover--it was sleek, well-designed, and simple, with no strap or clasp to annoy me while I read--but my Kindle did experience the stress fractures to its frame that I've just read about in other reviews, and it's going back to Amazon. While I appreciate the generous warranty that allows for a replacement, I wish that saner engineering minds had prevailed during the design process (and I suspect Amazon has similar sentiments--I wonder how many they've had to replace?)
I don't know which cover to buy for my next Kindle--none of them look as nice as this one.
